Teenager Jyoti Kumari rode a bicycle, covering 1,100 km from Gurugram to Dharbhanga with her father as the pillion rider to escape the damaging effects of the #Lockdown. She’s now been offered a trial by the cycling federation, recognised for her grit and determination. This romanticising of poverty is the worst form of apathy, that is not considering the rights of children from low-income groups into consideration.
